1st Game

With roughly 5 minutes left to play, DD twisted her ankle while making a layup. She did in fact get the basket. :) Sadly, the end result is a cast. This picture is her ankle while waiting to see what the X-ray's said.Yup.......broken. Her lovely new blue cast while it's drying.
Making space for extra swelling, you know; just in case it happens. Better safe than sorry right? After this move, it was wrapped in an ace bandage.

Had some issues with the 1st cast after they looked at the new X-rays. So, cast #2 had to be created. It came with a color change. She moved onto purple.
Here's hoping that she heals well!!!

A bit more on Thanksgiving.

Kids were waiting for us to decide we were ready for the feast to begin. The girl was "starving" and the boy just wanted to get dinner going so he could find a reason to head to his room. lol Yup; that's the teenagers love for ya. ;)

The upside down apple pie, tastes better than it looks. I WILL be making this again since the taste makes up for the shoddy workmanship that I had. :( Well, practice makes perfect right? Guess that means a few more pies in my future. Darn....lol

We watched a movie last night, so I did a little stitching. Pot Luck came out and I got some more done. This one is really fun for me right now, so stitching away when I get the urge.

Thanksgiving 2010

It's that time again, time to get everything prepped for the "big" day. A day filled with turkey, stuffing, all the trimmings and of course..........pie!!! I'm not a pumpkin pie fan, so pecan it is. This year I'm also going to attempt an upside down apple pie.

The other day I started to stitch on Pot Luck by Ink Circles. I'm not to far into it; but not bad for stitching while waiting for The Boy to get his allergy shot and a stitch here and there during the movie Scott Pilgrim vs The World (I think that's the right name for the movie). It wasn't as good as I thought it would be; but not as bad as it could have been. Now; who knows what tomorrow will bring.
